Krzysia Górniak – one of the most interesting Polish jazzwomen playing electric guitar (JAZZ Forum Magazine 7-8/2006 s. 27) composer, producer, arranger, she founded the band Krzysia Gorniak Desire and label Diuna Club. She graduate of the University of Music and Dramatic Arts in Graz (Austria) in the class of jazz guitar. She took part in lessons and workshops with such musicians as: Wayne Brasel, Wynton Marsallis, Mike Stern, Karl Ratzer, Susanne Weinert, John Abercrombie, Christian Rover, Garison Fewell, Bob Mintzer, Ron McClure, Billy Hart, Adam Nussbaum, Clarke Fischer, Alan Jones.
She played in many jazz clubs in Poland and across the whole of Europe (e.g. “Porgy & Bess” in Graz (Wien), “Miles Of Jazz” in Stockwerk, and in Berlin); she also participated in a few concert tours in Greece. Since coming back to Poland, she published four records on which she composer, arranger, and producer.
Currently Krzysia is taking part in many projects (cooperation with Evangelos Tzimkas - bass guitar (Greece), Wojciech Gogolewski - piano, Adam Lewandowski - drums, Zdzisław Kalinowski - piano, Michał Grott - bass guitar, Filip Sojka - bass guitar, Arek Nawrocki – piano, Przemek Knopik – drums, Krzysztof Ścierański – bass-guitar, Wojtek Pilichowski – bass guitar, Piotr Remiszewski – drums, Kuba Badach – vocal).

Education
Born on February 2, 1974 in Olsztyn. A Multi-talented “Woman of the Renaissance’, that through hard work and consequence expands her talent and interests. In 1993 she graduated from an Arts High School in Warsaw with the title of as a art-exhibition prep specialist. In 1997 – the department of Jazz in a Musical School II Level at Bednarska Street in Warsaw defending thesis in the jazz guitar class. In 2000, she obtained a Master’s of Philosophy from Warsaw University in the theme John Cage, and in 2003 – got title Master of Art in Faculty of Jazz in „Universiti für Musik und Darstellende Kunst” ( University of Music and Dramatic Arts ) in Graz (Austria ) in the class of jazz guitar.
Diuna Club
The Warsaw music club “DIUNA CLUB”, set up by Krzysia in 2004, with promotion of the creative artists in mind, is at present, one of most interesting and intriguing places on the musical map in Poland’s capital. Here she also presents her musical works/productions. Her paintings are part of the club’s interior.
Photography and Painting
In 2001, in Graz, the start of a series of paintings “Angeles”, came into being, inspired by portrait pictures which the artist took a few years before. The paintings were officially displayed in 2003 during XIX Glogow International Jazz Meetings. In September of 2002 they were displayed in the “Jazzgot” Club, Warsaw and in January 2002 in a Jazz Club in Vienna called “Porgy&Bess”.In a 2001 exhibition in Café Palaver in Graz. In 1993, Krzysia won first prize in National High School Contest “Youth Creativity” in Gdynia, an artistic photography category for series of “Model”. In that same year she graduated from an Arts High School as a art-exhibition prep specialist. Her artistic and philosophic state of mind constitute an integral part of her life and is reflected in her works!
