"Tales" was founded in 1998. It consists of musicians who have met while studying at the Jazz Department at the University of Music and Dramatic Arts in Graz (Austria).
So far, the group Tales had the pleasure to play at the '3rd Jazz Festival Santorini 1999', 'Warsaw Summer Jazz Days 2000' and also in March 2001 in Vienna's famous club 'Porgy & Bess" plus concerts in Greece and Austria. 'Tales' is a group where individualities meet.
Musicians from different countries have created a new quality , a quality of music picturing landscapes, emotions and life. One can find here nostalgic and romantic Poland, sunny, idle Greece, the peace and sadness of Finland and the mountain landscape of Austria. The aim of this project was to create its own, unique sound. The musicians have created compositions that are also stories, due to their different experiences, influences and their concentration on improvising and communication. The music of 'Tales' contains elements of jazz, pop and latin music, yet it remains something original. It takes us to the subtle world of dreams, where the warmth of the sun touches the skin with its colors and where love and friendship remain unchanged.
